На звание лучшей игры года претендуют: «The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild», «Horizon Zero Dawn», «Destiny 2» и «Super Mario Odyssey» — каждая из них получила по 6 номинаций. Далее следуют: Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice (5 номинаций), Persona 5 (4 номинации), Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus (4 номинации), Cuphead (4 номинации) и PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (3 номинации). Nintendo возглавляет гонку среди издательств, попав сразу в 23 номинации.
